Movies by the Tower Planning

Movies by the Tower is Maple Leaf’s outdoor summer movie series—free nights in the park with trivia, live music, and a laid-back beer garden. The committee behind the scenes makes it all happen, from choosing the films to setting up the screen and working with local partners. If you love bringing people together for something joyful and a little bit nostalgic, this is a great place to jump in.

Create something memorable

There’s something magical about watching a movie outdoors, surrounded by neighbors and a warm summer breeze. You’ll help build that moment—from the trivia questions and sponsor reels to the first note of music and the glow of the projector. This is the kind of experience people remember and talk about, and you’ll be part of what makes it happen.

Work with a fun, creative team

Planning movie nights means mixing imagination with just enough logistics to pull it off. You might help pick the lineup, coordinate food or drink partners, hang signs, or help run things the night of. It’s casual, collaborative, and ideal for anyone who likes to pitch in and see an idea come to life.

Help build a space to unwind

The movies are an excuse—but the real magic is in the gathering. You’ll help create a space where neighbors slow down, share snacks, and watch something together under the stars. Whether you're behind the scenes or helping out on the night of, you're helping create a space that feels safe, easy, and connected.
